Annapurna Base Camp Trek-ABC

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is an adventure trek into the heart of Himalayas. It is best for
first-timers as well as for small groups who love to travel with their friends and families. It is
one of the most popular treks in Annapurna, a perfect mix of landscapes, lush forest, high
mountains and diverse cultural existence. The setting of Annapurna Base Camp is incredibly
spectacular and brings you close to the majestic peaks of Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna
South (7219 m), Machhapuchhre (6993 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m).

Day-to-Day-Itinerary:
Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu (1340m).
Arrive in Kathmandu, a member of Everest Himalaya Treks team will meet you and take you
to your hotel, where we’ll gather for an orientation.
If you arrive early in Kathmandu, you may have an opportunity to explore this capital city of
medieval treasures. You can go to Thamel for nice lunch or stay in the hotel and get relaxed.
In the evening, your guide will accompany for Welcome Dinner and will provide informal
briefing about the trek. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2 Drive to Pokhara
We will drive to Pokhara on a private vehicle. It will be a long mountain drive passing
through many dotted villages and temples to Pokhara. It is an enchanting lake city surrounded
by the snow peaked mountains and the impressive Machhapuchhre peak. Dinner will be taken
in a local restaurant near lakeside. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 Drive to Nayapul. Trek to Ulleri.
After breakfast, we take for an hour drive to Nayapul passing through Lumle Village. It is the
start point for the trek. We gear up and follow the Bhurungdi Khola until we reach Tirkhe
Dhunga. From here, we cross the river and follow the stairs to reach Ulleri. Today is a good
warm-up for the harder and longer days to come. Overnight at lodge.
Day 4 Trek to Ghorepani.
Today there are more steps to climb in a stone-staircase as we pass through a pleasant forest
of rhododendron, magnolia and oak to reach Ghorepani (2860m). It occupies a notch in a
ridge overlooking the Kali Gandaki Valley. Overnight at lodge.
Day 5 Visit Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani.
Early morning, we go for an excursion to the viewpoint of Poon Hill. We climb up the wellmarked
path by the light of our torches to witness the sunrise over Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and
Manalsu. Back to lodge for breakfast, before setting off on our trek towards Tadapani. We
start towards Banthanti and then on to a pass where Tadapani is located. During the trek, we

will have a superb view of Annapurna South and the peak of Machhapuchhare. Overnight at
lodge.
Day 6 Trek to Chhomrong
After breakfast, we descend steeply to the river where we cross the suspension bridge. Then
we have a steep section of steps that take us up to Chhomrong where we take lunch. This is
the gateway village to Annapurna Sanctuary. From here, you get a grandstand view of
Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli and Annapurna South that were visible on the trail. Overnight
lodge in the highly picturesque Gurung village of Chomrong.
Day 7 Trek to Himalaya
From Chhomrong it is a steep descend, largely on stone steps to cross the Chomrong Khola.
Then there begins a steady ascent of the main Modi Khola Valley, pass through Khuldigar,
Bamboo and Dovan, before finally reaching out to Himalaya where our overnight lodging is
placed. Overnight at lodge.
Day 8 Trek to MBC
You trek steadily passing through Hinko Cave to Deorali where you will encounter a troop of
monkeys in the forest. Beyond Deorali, the forest disappears and the valley broadens out, as
we approach to the gates of Annapurna Sanctuary where the view gets wilder. Then, we pass
through the foot of Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare to reach a level and grassy moraine
platform with several lodges at Machhapuchhare Base Camp. Overnight lodge.
Day 9 Tek to ABC
Early start for the pleasant walk on the west bank of Modi Khola, hike through the moraine
and to the wide open valley and eventually emerges into Annapurna Base Camp. Along the
trail, the view of Annapurna South Face is impressive. After lunch, we head back down the
valley the same way to Machhapuchare Base Camp for the night. Overnight lodge.
Day 10 Trek to Bamboo
You enjoy a final look at the majestic views of the Annapurna Sanctuary before saying
goodbye to this haven. You will head back down the valley the same way, past Hinko,
through the rhododendron jungle to Bamboo. Perhaps, this is the longest day of the trek.
Overnight stay at lodge.
Day 11 Trek to Jhinudanda (hot spring)
After breakfast, we descend down through the up and down staircases of Chhomrong while
enjoying the great views of Machhapuchhre. Jhinudanda is few minutes away just before the
New Bridge on the Modi Khola. Overnight lodge.
Day 12 Trek to Pothana
We take a short climb takes you to the village of Landrung. From here you can see the dotted
village of Ghandrung on the opposite site and the view of Annapurna is glorious. We
continue the peaceful trail through cultivated fields with scrub vegetation, before ascending
through thick forest onto a ridge descending from Machhapuchhare. A stone paved trail then
takes you down to Pothana. Overnight lodge.
Day 13 Trek to Phedi – drive to Pokhara
Our trek ends here so it is best to cherish the adventure moments within or share with your
local teams before hitting back to the lake city. We have a short hike downhill to reach the
main drive. Drive back to Pokhara, you will have free afternoon. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 14 Pokhara to Kathmandu (Flight / Bus)
Today we return to Kathmandu. After breakfast, we take a private vehicle for Kathmandu.
But in case of domestic flight option, you will enjoy free time perhaps for some last minute
shopping or enjoy delicious lunch in the lakeside of Pokhara. Afternoon we fly to Kathmandu
and transfer to hotel.
Day 15 Departure
