Everest 3 Pass Trek is a strenuous yet exhilarating trek that takes you through three different valley systems in the Khumbu region of Nepal. The trek takes you through three high passes in the Everest region—Renjo La Pass (5340m), Cho La Pass (5420m), and Kongma La Pass (5,535m)—as you climb up and explore the much-admired Gokyo Lakes. Eventually, you confront the mighty Everest (8848m) at the Everest Base Camp and climb up to Kalapatthar where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the Himalayas. The journey is complemented by visits to Sherpa villages and monasteries which will give you an insight of the quiet yet vibrant Sherpa culture.

Itinerary(Details)

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu |1,350m
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Feel free to explore your neighborhood. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla|2840m|, Trek to Phakding| 2,610m| 40 minutes flight |3 - 4 Hours trek
A 40 minutes long mesmerizing flight takes you through the glorious Himalayas across several eight-thousanders as you land at the world’s most dangerous airstrip of Lukla to begin your intriguing journey.  Today you hike up to Phakding which will act as a warm up to the long trekking. You head up the Dudh Koshi Valley on a well-marked trail to reach Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.
Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar|3,440m|5 - 6 hours
You begin your day as you trek through pine forest alongside the Dudh Koshi River to reach Monjo (2800m) which is the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. Then you ascend a steep path and cross a few bridges to reach the Gateway to Everest—the beautiful Namche overlooking the Everest (8848m). Mountains such as Taboche (6367m), Thamserku (6623m), Kusum Kanguru (6367m), and Kangtega (6685m) can also be sighted along the way. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 04: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar
Today is you acclimatization day at the trade hub of the region, Namche Bazaar. You explore the quaint villages inhibited by the Sherpas and their rich culture and cuisines. Also, visit the local Sherpa Museum here. Next, you hike to Hotel Everest View (3962m) for mesmerizing views of Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Thamserku (6623m), and Kusum Kanguru (6367m). You can opt to hike up to Khumjung village, the largest Sherpa settlement of the region. Khumjung houses a monastery that displays a skull of a Yeti, Asia’s abominable snowman. Overnight in Namche.
Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazar to Thame |3820m| 4 - 5 Hours
After breakfast, you walk along a trail that leads to the old Sherpa village of Thame, which is an easy walk. Then you ascend gradually on a trail that passes through a few small villages to reach Thame. Overlooking the Sherpa village of Thame is the Thame Monastery, one of the oldest in the region. Thame is the village where Tenzing Norgay, the very first person to scale the Everest, was born. Overnight in Thame.
Day 06: Trek from Thame to Lumde |4368m| 5 - 6 Hours
Today you begin by crossing two bridges before you start ascending along the traditional route used for centuries by Tibetan traders. You walk through the village of Taranga and thereafter cross the Bhote
Koshi River to reach Marlung. Along the way, you will be accompanied by exquisite views of snow peaked mountains before reaching Lumde. Overnight in Lumde.
Day 07: Trek from Lumde to Gokyo |4790 m| via Renjo La Pass |5360m| 8 - 9 Hours
After breakfast, the trail leads an easy uphill walk for a few hours. In the end, you conquer a strenuous climb to get to the top of Renjo La Pass (5360m), one of the three high passes of Everest region. The top offers exquisite views of Cho Oyu (8188m), Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m) and surrounding peaks, and Gokyo lakes.  Gokyo Lakes is a collection of six freshwater lakes ranging at an altitude of 4700-5000 meters that feed on waters from various glaciers. The third Gokyo Lake, Dudh Pokhari, is also a famous pilgrimage destination for the Hindus and the Buddhists. The trail from the pass drops down to the third lake from where you walk to your lodge. You can have a short climb to the ridge from where the glacier can be explored extravagantly. Overnight in Gokyo.
Day 08: Hike to Gokyo Ri |5360m| back to Gokyo |4790 m| 2-3 Hours
Today is your acclimatization day. You hike up to Gokyo-Ri (5360m) today. The views of Cho Oyu (8188m) and the whole of Mahalangur Range along with the pristine lakes and the Gokyo valley are enchanting from the top of Gokyo Ri. You can also hike up to the fourth Gokyo Lake which is 3 km north of the Gokyo village. Next, you hike up to Scoundrel’s Viewpoint (5000m) located at the edge of the fifth lake. The viewpoint offers exquisite views of Everest (8848m), Gyachung Kang (7952m), Cho Oyu (8188m), Nuptse (7861m), Lhotse (8414m), and the Ngozumpa Glacier. Ngozumpa Glacier lies at the base of Mt. Cho Oyu (8188m) and is the longest glacier in the Himalayas. You trek back to the lodge in Gokyo and stay overnight.
Day 09: Trek from Gokyo to Dragnag |4750 m|5 - 6 Hours
You have a tough walk today as the whole trail goes through the frozen paths of Ngozumpa Glacier. Starting with an easy climb on the bank of the glacier, you then move right through it on the steep and slippery trail. Since it is a tricky trail, make sure you have a slow and maintained the pace, and also be extremely careful while walking. As challenging the trail may be, the views that accompany are absolutely as rewarding. Later, you walk out of the glacier and descend on the moraine alongside the glacier to reach Dragnag. Overnight in Dragnag.
Day 10: Trek from Dragnag, Cross the Cho-La Pass |5420| and trek down to Dzongla |4830m| 7 - 8 Hours
Today is the most difficult day of your trek. You start your day with a steep climb and then walk down to the base of Cho-La Pass (5420m). Then you follow a trail that leads through the huge rock towards the top, which is another steep climb. The top offers an enchanting view of surrounding mountains. Then the trail drops down through the huge rock and finally you walk along an easy path to reach Dzongla. Overnight in Dzongla.
Day 11: Trek from Dzongla to Lobuche |4910m| 4 - 5 Hours
Today you begin the trek by crossing Cho-La River on a bridge. Then you start descending. During the descent, you pass through Chola Tsho preceded by another lake, after which you walk past a stupa and tombstones. On the way, you will be accompanied by the view of the looming Awi Peak (5245m). Then your trails split in two and you choose the trail on your left and start ascending along the Khumbu Glacier to reach Lobuche. With elevations of 4900 meters at its terminus and 7600 meters at its source, Khumbu is the world’s highest glacier. Overnight in Lobuche.
Day 12: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp |5364m| via Gorakshep |5140 m| trek down to Gorakshep |8 - 9 Hours
Today you walk the rocky trail towards Gorakshep. On the way, you will have magnificent views of Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), and Pumori (7165m). Khumbu Glacier can also be seen along the way. After a few ups and downs, you will reach Gorakshep, which lies at the base of Kala Patthar. Then you hike up to Everest Base Camp where you are enchanted by the view of mighty Everest (8848m) and surrounding peaks. Later, you trek down to your lodge in Gorakshep for the overnight stay.
Day 13:  Hike up to Kala Patthar |5545m| and descend to Lobuche |4910 m|7 – 8Hours
Today you hike up to Kala Patthar, which is revered as the greatest views of the majestic Everest (8848m). The sunrise, especially the play of the morning rays of sun over the mountains, is also the most loved view seen from Kala Patthar. You will be mesmerized by the beauty of the mountains such as Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), Pumori (7165m), Ama Dablam (6856m), and many more. After spending your time in awe of the mystic mountains and taking plenty of photos, you retrace the trail back to Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.
Day 14:  Trek up from Lobuche to Kongma La |5535m| and trek descend to Chhukhung |4730m| 6 - 7 Hours
After breakfast, you start by walking through Khumbu Glacier towards the east. After crossing the glacier and the river, the trail leads to the Kongma La Pass (5535m), which is the highest pass among the three high passes of Everest. After a strenuous climb to the top, the trail is a steep downhill to Chhukhung valley. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), and Ama Dablam (6856m) gaze happily at you as you sip your tea at the hotel in Chhukhung, after the tough walk. Overnight in Chhukhung.
Day 15:  Trek from Chhukhung to Tengboche |3860m|5 - 6 Hours
Today is an easy downhill through the valley. The trail leads down to Dingboche as you pass through intersecting icy streams to reach Bibre which is a yak herdsman place. Directly across the valley, you can see the beautiful Ama Dablam (6856m) and the Amphu Labtsa Pass (5845m). Then you walk along a trail through glacial moraines in Imja valley to Dingboche. Dingboche is a beautiful village with an array of fields enclosed by stone walls. Then climb down to reach Pangboche. Then cross Imja River, and walk up along a picturesque trail where you will be accompanied by Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414), and Ama Dablam (6856m). Finally walk through a forest of birch, conifers, and rhododendron to reach Tengboche. The village is home to the largest monastery of the Everest region, Tengboche Monastery. Overnight in Tengboche.
Day 16:  Trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar |3,440m|6 - 7 Hours
Today your day starts with a steep walk downhill through the rhododendron forest. After that, you cross a bridge and climb through pine and juniper forest to reach Khumjung village. You can take your time to explore the village before walking along an easy trail to reach Namche. Overnight in Namche.
Day 17:  Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla |2,840m| 6 - 7 Hours
Retrace your trail passing through quaint Sherpa villages and cross the Dudh Koshi River to reach Lukla. Once you reach Lukla, you can enjoy a night of music and drinks with your fellow trekkers and share your wonderful achievement as you reminisce about your mountain journey. Overnight in Lukla.
Day 18:  Fly to Kathmandu and free day and farewell dinner
A flight to or from Lukla is never enough or tiring. Fly through the glorious Himalayas again as you reach Kathmandu. The rest of the day is a leisure period. You can go exploring around the valley but we suggest you not to miss the farewell dinner. An evening dinner organized by the company to celebrate the successful trek. Overnight in hotel.
Day 19:  Final departure
After breakfast, you will be taken to the international airport for your final departure. Satisfied and happy with our services, we hope you will want to book another trip with our company as we drive you to your preferred drop-off point for your see off.
