Pikey Peak Trekking

Pikey Peak Trekking

One of the lesser-known treks in the Khumbu region, Pikey Peak Trek features climbing up to the highest hill in the Khumbu region which features a breathtaking panorama of the high Himalayas like Mt. Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8188m), Lhotse (8414m), and many other snow-capped mountains. The trek also offers an insight of the culture of the legendary Sherpa, allowing the trekkers to have the best of both culture and nature.
The Pikey Peak Trek is a short and easy walk through the lower Khumbu region where you can find many Sherpa villages with their traditional houses resting beautifully on the foothills of the Khumbu Himalayas. The trails take you through deep forests of rhododendron and oak, and sometimes pine, to bring you to the top of Pikey Peak (4065m) for a stunning view of a wide range of the Himalayas lying in the Khumbu region, including the giants Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8414m). Likewise, the age-old settlements of Junbesi and Salleri provide you with alluring landscape and heart-warming hospitality of the Sherpas. The trek allows you to get a closer look at the Sherpa culture, tradition, and lifestyle as you walk through their villages, farms, and monasteries. For novice trekkers and for someone with limited time in Nepal, Pikey Peak Trek is one of the best and most viable treks in the Khumbu region to witness the majesty of Everest (8848m) and the Khumbu Himalayas.
